aka Greece The Hellenic Republic (Ε λληνική Δημοκρατία) was recognized as a nation on February 3 of 1830 (if you're old! ) although it had declared its independence the Ottoman Empire aka Tuqui in 1821 (the year of independence from Peru as well !)... Today also marks the start of Chinese New Year! Year of the Rabbit!.
